Chocolate Cake

Method

  1. Beat margarine until soft as double cream, add sugar and beat until very soft again
  2. Sieve flour and 1 dessert spoon of cocoa plus 2 tblsps of drinking chocolate
  3. Add eggs and beat again then fold in flour and the tepid water until mixture is smooth and shinning
  4. Bake in 2 x 10 inch tins at 160c for 1/2 hour or until firm to the touch. (overcooking will make it dry out so best to be a little underdone)
  5. Once cooked take out and let it cool
  6. Mix up filling and spread on inside making a sandwich, don't forget to add cherries or peaches in the middle. Add remaining Icing to the top and finish off with chocolate buttons, sprinkles what every suits your taste.
