Spaghetti Bolognese
For the mince we use Topside and mince it ourselves. All the recipes are shared amongst the Bowers family and all have their own secret ingredients.
Method
- In a heavy based saute pan cook mince until nice and brown. Remove and store
- Add some Olive oil if necessary and cook garlic for a minute. Do not burn as it will not taste nice
- Add the onions to the pan and cook until transparent. Remove and store
- Now cook bacon until brown
- Put meat, onion mixture back into the pan, add sauces, wine, oxo cubes and mushrooms
- Cook for 3-4 hours on simmer until it tastes good
- Serve with grated cheese and of course spaghetti and garlic bread if you wish
